The Madhesh and Mithila regions face a mainstream cultural marginalization in Nepal leading to the neglect of important traditional practices as well as key custodians of cultural knowledge.
The Bhoomi Foundation aspires to contribute to a cultural revival in the Madhesh and inspire younger generations to take forward their rich culture and knowledge.
The second edition of the Bhoomi Folk Festival is coming up on 26th October 2024 and will take place in Janakpurdham.
We are organizing this PRINT SALE to support the important work that The Bhoomi Foundation is undertaking. As we know, it is not always easy to find support for cultural work. But we can come together in community and in solidarity to generate alternative forms of support for cultural work.
All funds raised will go towards the documenting, archiving, and platforming of cultural practices in the Mithila region, while empowering local artists and uplifting marginalized communities.
In addition to financial contributions, you can also support The Bhoomi Foundation by amplifying their voice and volunteering your time and skills to support their vision. Please contact them at bhoomifoundationnepal@gmail.com
